Empire State Development
- START-UP NY (SUNY Tax-free Areas to Revitalize and Transform Upstate NY): initiative to transform SUNY campuses and other university communities across the state into tax-free communities for new and expanding businesses
- Excelsior Jobs Program: Tax credits available for strategic businesses such as high tech, bio-tech, clean-tech and manufacturing that create jobs or make significant capital investments
- Qualified Emerging Technology Companies (QETCs): Tax incentives for investment and job creation in production and/or R&D of emerging technologies
- Investment Tax Credit (ITC): tax credits of up to 10% for businesses that create new jobs and make new investments in production property and equipment
- Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credit: up to 9% corporate tax credit for eligible investments in R&D facilities.
- Brownfield Cleanup Program: Liability relief and tax credits for the cleanup and redevelopment of brownfield sites
