Cayuga Strategic Solutions, the joint venture of the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and the Cayuga Economic Development Agency, is pleased to announce Tracy Verrier as the new Executive Director.
Verrier has worked as the Economic Development Technical Specialist for the Cayuga Economic Development Agency since June 2013. In that role, Verrier provided staff support to various economic development boards, including the Cayuga County IDA, Auburn IDA, and Auburn Local Development Corporation. In addition, she contributed to grant writing, underwriting for local loan programs, and various research initiatives. Verrier has also been Acting Director of the Cayuga Economic Development Agency since April, assisting in the day-to-day management of the organizations in coordination with Chamber of Commerce Acting Director Amy Fuller.
“I am excited and grateful to have been chosen to lead the Chamber of Commerce and Cayuga Economic Development Agency into their next chapters,” Verrier said. “With all of the positive activities happening throughout Cayuga County, it’s a great time to be a part of these organizations. I truly believe in their missions and the value they are able to provide to the community.”

Ms. Verrier has Master’s Degrees from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, a Bachelor’s Degree from Drew University, and an Associate’s Degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock. She is a member of the advisory board for the Auburn chapter of the Salvation Army and is a member of Auburn Public Theater’s a cappella group, Tonal Recall. Verrier and her fiancée, Ian Phillips, live in Owasco and are co-owners of Heifer Hops.
