Oswego County Farm Bureau board member and CNY Regional Economic Development Council member Nancy Weber wrote in a recent guest column in The Citizen about the growing agricultural economy in Cayuga County and throughout Central New York.  In her column, she mentions the growth of our region’s export economy.

An important piece of improving our economic condition is assisting our regions’ businesses with opening new markets.  As CEDA’s Economic Development Specialist, Bruce Sherman’s role is to retain Cayuga County’s existing businesses and help them expand.  A large part of his job is to connect our County’s industries with resources and other organizations that offer supportive services.  CEDA has a great partnership with the Central New York International Business Alliance (CNYIBA), which offers export assistance to enhance global sales of businesses in the 12-county CenterState region.

We certainly agree with Nancy that the agricultural industry is an important aspect of our economy. If your business is in need of assistance, contact the development specialists at CEDA to connect your business to the best incentives and advice to help start or grow your business in Cayuga County.
