Whether you are looking to strengthen your skills with QuickBooks accounting software or learn how to turn your business idea into a business plan, 2 State Street has a number of business-related training opportunities coming up in November.
On Tuesdays in November (5th, 12th,19th and 26th) from 1:00 – 3:00, we’ll be hosting QuickBooks for Your Business. This course will be taught by Syracuse SCORE and is being organized by the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and Auburn SCORE. In this course, business owners will learn how to use QuickBooks 2018. Laptops with Quickbooks 2018 will be available to use during the class if you don’t have one. The cost will be $95 for all four sessions, though it is free for Veterans, courtesy of M&T Bank. The small group setting of this course will allow for plenty of time for interaction and questions and free follow-up individual sessions will be available. Another course coming to 2 State Street this November is Simple Steps for Starting Your Business. This is the fourth year that Auburn SCORE has conducted this workshop, which is a great introduction for people in the early stages of starting a business. This course has been restructured in 2019 and will include six sessions over two days. The session topics are

Session Two: Business Plan Basics
Session Three: Social Media
Session Four: Components of Business Ownership
Session Five: Marketing
Session Six Succession Planning
The course runs over two days – Saturday, November 16th from 9:00- Noon and Saturday November 23rd from 9:00- Noon.
