The third round of the Auburn Downtown Revitalization Initiative Small Project Grant Fund (DRI Grant Fund) is now open for applications. This initiative aims to support businesses, entrepreneurs, and non-profit entities within the DRI boundary, spurring community growth and economic development.

The DRI Grant Fund operates on a reimbursement basis, requiring project expenses to be incurred and documented before funds are released. Applicants must meet various criteria, including being located within the Auburn DRI boundary, local ownership, adherence to tax regulations, and compliance with zoning and permitting requirements.

Two categories of funding are available within the DRI Grant Fund: Entrepreneurial Seed Funding and Existing Business Assistance. Funding can cover renovations, signage, soft costs, permanent machinery, and equipment, with maximum grant amounts and match requirements varying by category.

Applicants are encouraged to reach out for assistance with their applications, with inquiries received by the Review & Assistance Deadline guaranteed a response. A site contamination assessment fee is required for awarded applicants but is partially reimbursed upon project completion.
