Central New York Technology Development Organization (CNYTDO)
The CNYTDO is a nonprofit organization serving Cayuga County that works directly with tech and manufacturing companies to “develop successful business strategies, implement state of the art technologies, assist in the transfer of university-developed technologies, and smooth the transition from start-ups to mature organization.”

Those goals are accomplished by providing:

  • Lean manufacturing assistance
  • OSHA training
  • Various types of assessments designed to improve manufacturing operations

Manufacturers Association of Central NY (MACNY)
Manufacturers Association of Central NY offers lean manufacturing consulting and training as well as seminars on various topics.  The association also offers networking councils and other events to educate and improve the region’s manufacturing workforce.

Small Business Ombudsman
The Small Business Ombudsman provides technical assistance and referrals to state programs for starting and/or expanding a small business. Entrepreneurial Assistance Program (EAP)

Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)

SCORE
SCORE is a national organization of experienced business professionals who offer free confidential counseling and low-cost education programs to assist new and existing small business owners. This national network is comprised of hundreds of local chapters. The Auburn chapter is located at 2 State Street, along with the Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce and the Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA).
