The village of Moravia has been awarded $2.25 million through the NY Forward program. This financial investment in rural villages, such as Moravia, provides a path of opportunity and an intentional commitment  to transform and revitalize New York’s smaller communities. Moravia was selected by the Central New York Regional Economic Development Council as the only winning village of Cayuga County. Moravia’s application for funding was competing against other villages in the area, including Aurora and Cayuga. This announcement was shared publicly at the Center for the Arts of Homer on Tuesday, February 14th.  CEDA is proud of Moravia for winning the NY Forward grant and expresses its gratitude to the Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development for its work in support of the village’s application. If the NY Forward program is included in the state’s 2023-2024 fiscal year budget, CEDA encourages other villages in Cayuga County to apply for funding.
