The villages of Cayuga, Union Springs and Aurora are collaborating to revitalize their historic downtowns by applying collectively for two significant grant opportunities through NYS – the NY Forward and the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). These grant programs support a range of private and public projects, including but not limited to building renovations, expansions and infrastructure improvements with a goal of transforming these once vibrant historic downtowns. The villages are actively seeking project proposals for this joint application.  This collaborative strategy comes after Moravia was awarded a $2.25M NY Forward grant back in March of 2023. This award prompted neighboring villages to recognize the benefits of joining forces to submit a stronger and more compelling application for funding. The project proposal deadline is July 14, 2023.  If you have a project in mind, please reach out to one of the following, based on the location of your project.
